Racing with Purpose: Engel & Völkers Returns to the Water for DragonBoat Beaufort
Last year, Engel & Völkers dove into something new: dragon boat racing. And not just for the thrill of competition — but for something bigger. We were proud to join the ranks of DragonBoat Beaufort for our very first race, and now, we’re back for year two — stronger, faster, and more committed than ever.
What started as a leap of faith for our team quickly became a cherished cause. DragonBoat Beaufort isn’t just about paddling — it’s about people. The organization is powered entirely by volunteers and exists to support local cancer patients living, working, or receiving treatment right here in Beaufort County. Through its mission, it provides financial relief, encouragement, and a fiercely supportive community — all funded by the energy and generosity of those who race, volunteer, and donate.
And we’re raising the bar this year.
Our Engel & Völkers team is training hard, building camaraderie, and most importantly, raising funds to support this incredible cause. Every dollar we raise goes directly to local individuals battling cancer — and it’s our honor to paddle for them.
The origins of DragonBoat Beaufort are rooted in grit and heart. What began in 2012 — inspired by the film Awaken the Dragon — was little more than a few determined locals practicing with broomsticks on dry land in Waterfront Park. Today, it’s a force. A fleet of survivors, supporters, and teammates who practice together, race together, and heal together.
We’re incredibly proud to be a part of that story. And we hope you’ll help us write the next chapter.

Let’s make waves, Beaufort. See you on the water!
